sarojkc.com.np is an independent personal website written and maintained by Saroj KC, based in Kathmandu, Nepal. For the purposes of data protection law, Saroj KC is the controller of the personal data described below.

Summary — the short version

• Analytics is off unless you accept it. Your visit is not counted before you choose.
• The site uses a small number of cookies and browser storage keys, mostly for your theme, your analytics choice, and the language you pick.
• If you use the contact form or newsletter form, your email address and message are sent to the site owner through a form provider so a reply can be sent.
• Voluntary features — polls, star ratings, likes, and “was this useful?” votes — send only the option you press. You can use the whole site without touching any of them.
• Your data is not sold, and this website does not build advertising profiles of its own.

What this website collects

Google Analytics

If you choose Accept analytics, this site loads Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-26CB3CHH2R). Google Analytics helps the site owner understand which articles and resources are useful, which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, and roughly where they are located.

• Google Analytics is not loaded if you choose Reject, and it stays unloaded until you change your choice through the privacy settings icon provided by our consent manager (consentmanager.net).
• This site sets Google’s consent mode to denied before Analytics can run, and updates it to granted only after your choice, so no analytics cookies are written before you accept.
• Data collected may include pages viewed, time on page, referral source, approximate geographic region derived from IP address, device type, browser, operating system, and a randomly generated client identifier.
• The site does not send Google Analytics your name, email address, phone number, or contact-form message, and does not enable Google Signals or advertising personalisation features.
• Google processes this data as an independent service provider. IP addresses are used by Google for approximate location and are not stored by Google Analytics 4 as a full, retained identifier in the way older analytics products did.

Advertising and ad choices

This site may display advertising served by Google AdSense (publisher ID pub-8834584099248086). The AdSense code is kept on the page so Google can verify the site, but it stays blocked until you consent, and it is not loaded on this privacy page.

When advertising is served:

• Google and its advertising partners may use cookies (including Google’s advertising cookies) and similar technologies to serve, limit, measure, and protect advertising.
• Advertising technology may process device and browser information, IP address, approximate location, and your activity on this and other websites.

Contact form, comment form, and email you send

When you send a message through the Contact page:

• The form collects your name, email address, subject, and message.
• The submission is processed by Web3Forms and delivered to the site owner’s email inbox.
• Your email address is used only to reply to you. It is not added to a mailing list, is not sold, and is not shared with advertisers.

Comments submitted on articles, resources, or projects are also delivered through Web3Forms for review. A comment stays unpublished until it is manually approved; approved comments are stored as website content. Your email address, if provided, is never shown publicly.

Retention: form submissions and messages are kept in the site owner’s mailbox for as long as needed to answer, moderate, or keep a reasonable record. You can ask for your message or comment to be deleted at any time by emailing sarojkcpro@gmail.com; deletion requests are actioned, and an approved comment is removed from the site on the next publish.

Newsletter and email subscriptions

If the newsletter section is available and you subscribe:

• Only your email address (and optionally the page you subscribed from) is collected.
• It is processed by Web3Forms and stored in the site owner’s mailbox, and used only to send occasional updates about new articles, resources, and related notes.
• Your address is never sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or third parties for their own marketing.
• Every update includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can also simply reply or email sarojkcpro@gmail.com to ask to be removed. Removal requests are actioned within a few working days.
• If the site moves to a dedicated newsletter provider in future, this policy will name that provider before the change.

Downloadable resources

Downloading a free template, checklist, or toolkit does not require an account, a name, or an email address. No file is watermarked with your details.

• Resource pages show a download total, and downloads are counted only after you press Accept analytics.
• Files are downloaded through the hosting platform, which processes the request like any other web request (including standard technical log data).
• Script and ZIP toolkits: these run on your own computer. Nothing in those tools sends data back to this website or to the site owner. Where a toolkit writes a report or backup file, it is created on your own machine, in a folder you choose.

Polls, ratings, likes, and helpfulness votes

Polls, star ratings, “like” buttons, and “was this article useful?” responses are optional. When you press one:

• The option you chose is sent to CounterAPI and added to an aggregate total.
• No name, email address, or account is required, and no personal profile is created for you.
• A small preference is stored in your own browser so the same control cannot easily be used twice. Clearing browser storage, or using another browser or device, may allow another vote.
• Because pressing these buttons is a direct action by you, they work even if you rejected analytics.

Public counters and the “Community pulse” band

When switched on in the site settings, a “Community pulse” band can display public aggregate totals — such as unique visitors in the last 24 hours, visitors seen in the last 15 minutes, unique visitors in the last 30 days, and total site page views.

• These totals are public aggregates only. They never display an individual visitor’s data.
• The totals count visits only after you accept analytics. Rejecting analytics keeps your visits, page views, and downloads out of the public totals.
• To display the numbers, the site makes read-only requests to CounterAPI through a same-origin proxy. Those read requests do not add a visit or page view, but CounterAPI receives the technical request needed to return the totals.
• The privacy page itself is excluded from counting.
• CounterAPI states that it hashes IP addresses and browser details for aggregation. See counterapi.com for its own privacy information.

Translation feature

The language menu optionally translates pages using Google Translate. The translation runs in your browser, and Google may process the page content and your request to provide it.

• Nothing is sent to Google until you choose a language — the translation script is loaded only after that choice.
• A googtrans cookie remembers your selected language for up to a year. Selecting English again clears it.
• Translated pages are machine translations. The English original remains the authoritative version of every article.

Who else processes data (service providers)

These providers process data under their own privacy policies and may store data outside Nepal, including in the United States and the European Union. Where a provider acts for this website, it is used only for the purposes described above.

What this website does not do

• It does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.
• It does not run its own advertising profiles, remarketing lists, or cross-site trackers.
• It does not ask for your ID documents, financial details, or passwords. Never send those through any form on this site.
• It does not knowingly collect information from children. If you are under 16, please use the site with a parent or guardian and do not submit forms.

Your choices and rights

You can:

• Reject or withdraw analytics at any time using the “Analytics settings” button at the bottom-left of any page.
• Block or clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings.
• Opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ad Settings and the industry links above.
• Ask what personal data relating to you is held — for example, a contact message or a pending comment — and ask for it to be corrected or deleted.
• Object to or ask about any processing described in this policy.

Send any such request to sarojkcpro@gmail.com. Requests are answered within a reasonable period, normally within 30 days. You may be asked to verify the email address involved so that one person cannot request deletion of another person’s message. If a request concerns data held by Google, CounterAPI, Web3Forms, or Vercel, the site owner can point you to the right process for that provider.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS with security headers, and no visitor accounts or passwords are stored here. Form submissions travel through the provider’s API. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive documents or confidential case details through the contact form.

Changes to this policy

This policy is reviewed when the site’s tools, forms, or services change, and the “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent review. Material changes — for example, adding a new analytics provider or a newsletter service — are described on this page before or when they take effect.
